The television umpire's task in helping their on-field counterparts that
have raised now with the entrance of Twenty20, almost all run-out getting
examined for legality through the 3rd umpire. But Daredevils captain Kevin
Pietersen got an advantaged from field umpire Sanjay Hazare's unwillingness to
seek advice from the television cameras when the batsman was seems to be run
out.
In the game, 7th over, Kevin Pietersen mistimed a whip off his leg as Sanju Samson the keeper quickly threw down the stumps, but umpire Hazare refused the appeal for his run-out. The replays on the larger display at Kotla obviously pointed out Pietersen underneath his ground and provoked Royals captain Shane Watson gone to dispute with the umpire Hazare, but to not get. Fortunately for the Royals, this incident did not cost much as KP a few minutes later he is walking to the pavilion.
